Civil Society and Democatization in Southeastern Europe, 1990-2004
My book titled “Civil Society and Democratization in Southeastern Europe, 1990-2004″ was published in January 2009. This is the culmination of my studies geared towards getting extra explanatory power over the course the newly minted democracies in Southeastern Europe took after the fall of communism. This is an innovative study in that it is one of the rare books which combines a rigorous qualitative inquiry with an ambitious model building endeavor under quantitative inquiry. Thus, my book falls under the category of “multi-methodological”. It is my conviction that this book will be valuable resource for fourth year students in Political Science, International Relations, History, Sociology and graduate students in the same fields. It will also provide an original insight into the linkages between civil society and democratization and will appeal to decision makers in the region and beyond.
